We received more than 180 photographs. The winner is Marius Taljard with his exceptional photograph of a caracal in golden light. Click here for the link on Facebook to see Marius’ photograph.

*November’s photograph challenge is #landscape

November’s photograph challenge is landscapes. This includes farming and agriculture, sunrises and sunsets, rivers, dams, mountains, etc.

Photograph entries must include all the information according to the Club rules, i.e., what, where, camera model and settings (ISO, F-stop, shutter speed) or smart phone model. Photographs without this information, will not be placed.

Participants may only submit photographs that they have taken themselves.

Members may only post one photograph at a time to ensure that all photographs are clearly visible. There is no limit on the number of entries.

The best photographs will be announced on the first day of December after which members can vote for their favourites. The best photograph will be included in the gallery on SA Hunters’ website.

Click here for the Facebook link and here for the SA Hunters website link.

Members of SA Hunters that do not have a Facebook page can also participate. Send queries to sahuntphoto@gmail.com  or send your cat photographs with the relevant information to the same e-mail address with #landscapes in the subject line.

  • Photography Club Cover

We select a new photograph for the cover every fortnight. Stephanie Schutte’s photograph of a misty sunrise and sheep on the farm is our cover for the next two weeks. Click here to view on Facebook.

  • Photo stories

Sasha Mulder’s entry of Batsha the elephant in the category of Conservation in Action, earned her a silver award in the photography competition, gave us an idea for a new challenge for our Photograph Club members, namely Photo Stories. Read Sasha’s photography story about BATSHA the elephant hier.
