SA Hunters introduced a structure for members to compete in Gallery Sporting Rifle competitions at regional/provincial and national level that will create opportunities to obtain provincial and national colours in this sport.
Gallery Sporting Rifle is a hunting based shooting competition according to the international rules of the International Gallery Rifle Federation (IGRF). The Gallery Sporting Rifle shooting competition is a separate shooting competition that will take place on the same day as the regional President Shooting Competition, and will be held as a last relay, possibly two, immediately after the President Shooting Competition has been concluded. These two competitions differ in terms of rules, equipment and targets. It gives shottists the opportunity to participate in both competitions on the same day and to obtain qualifying scores for two independent rankings.
