Skietsake Die tak bied elke maand twee takskietdae aan. Die eerste Saterdag van die maand, skiet ons by die Militêre Skietbaan in Eeufeeslaan. Skietoefeninge sluit in: Randslag .22 Jaghandwapen (Blouwildebees- en Sebrateiken) Sportskiet, posliga, handwapens (Senter- en randslag) Sportskiet, SAJWV/Safari Outdoor Uitdaagreeks, randslag .22 gewere Toegewyde Jagterstatus (3-skoot skiettoets op Rooibok-teiken) Die derde Saterdag van die maand, skiet ons by Welgegund-skietbaan by NECSA. Skietoefeninge sluit in: Rooijakkals Vlakte (springbokteiken) Bosveld (BWB/sebrateiken) Bekwame Jagter Skiettoets (rooibokteiken) Vlakvark Swaarkaliber (buffelteiken) Boogskiet (boogskuts moet eie ‘butts’ saambring) By die eerste skietdag van die maand bied die Tak die vark- en buffelskietoefeninge en handwapenskietoefeninge aan. Die skiettoets vir Toegewyde Skutstatus is ook beskikbaar. . Ons versoek dat skuts reeds 06:45 by die onderskeie skietbane arriveer om met baanvoorbereiding te help en die nodige administratiewe take af te handel. Ons begin amptelik om 08:00. Skuts word herinner dat die dra van skietbrille verpligtend is by alle SAJWV skietgeleenthede. Dit val nie binne die diskresie van die baanoffisiere om jou toe te laat om daarsonder te skiet nie. Conservation Contact the management committee for enquiries and information about conservation activities. Shooting affairs The branch hosts two shooting events per month. The first Saturday shoot takes place at the Military Shooting Range in Eeufees Road. Shooting exercises include: .22 rimfire Hunting handgun (BWB/Zebra target) Sportshooting, postal league, handguns (centre and rimfire) Sportshooting, SAHGCA/Safari & Outdoor Challenge series, .22 rimfire Dedicated hunter test (3 shot shooting test on impala target) Every third Saturday of the month we shoot at Welgegund shooting range at NECSA. Shooting exercises include: Jackal Plains ( Springbok target) Bosveld (BWB/zebra-target) Dedicated hunter test (3 shot shooting test on impala target) Warthog Heavy calibre (buffalo target) Bow shooting (bow shooters must bring along their own butts) Warthog and buffalo shooting exercises are also available at the shooting day on the first Saturday of the month. Members can do the shooting test for dedicated hunter status. Shottists must be at the various shooting ranges at 06:45 to assist with preparation and to finalise administrative tasks. Official starting time is 08:00. We remind members that eye protection at the shooting range is compulsory at all SAHGCA shooting activities. Range officers do not have any discretionary powers to allow shottists on the range without eye protection.
